Spring Life Refresh III: Environment

Welcome to Part III of the Spring Life Refresh! Over the last two weeks, I have shared different ways of refreshing your life for spring. In the last two parts we have talked about how to refresh ourselves physically and mentally. This is the last part of this mini series and today we’re talking about our physical environment and how to refresh it for spring.

Environment

After several months of darkness and being stuck inside, our space can feel stuffy and boring. We’re bored with our wardrobes and everything feels and looks the same as always. That’s why I like to change a few things around the apartment when spring comes around!

Spring Cleaning

Nothing makes your space feel quite as fresh as having a deep clean and making everything look its best again! So on your next free day, put on some good music and start going through every room and just clean and organise until you feel like everything has its place and the room feels fresh and uncluttered again. Bonus points for descaling the shower and wiping down your windows!

Declutter Your Space

After you’ve cleaned your space, you might realise that you have some things that don’t really have a place where they belong and that you might not even need or want anymore. This is the perfect time to get rid of them - sell, donate, or throw out what you don’t need or want anymore. Spring is also an excellent time to break out your summer wardrobe and declutter your winter wardrobe before putting it away!

Spring Shopping Spree

Once you’ve brought out your summer clothes and tried them all on, you might realise that you are lacking some staple pieces or that you’d like to invest in a few pieces to bring some fresh wind into your style. Go online and find some inspiration and then grab your best friend, mom, or partner and go on a shopping spree!

Get Yourself Flowers (or Plants)

One of my favourite ways to change up my apartment without spending too much money is to buy myself flowers or a new potted plant! It adds such a feeling of freshness and life to any space and they make my happy. Another fool-proof way to spark inspiration to change some things in my apartment is a trip to Ikea. They have so many cute small things to add that certain something to your place - like this white vase I’ve been loving for my tulips!

Thank you so much for sticking around for this series! I hope you enjoyed it and it gave you some ideas on how to refresh your life for spring!

Love,

Monique
